Variations

If youโ€™re looking to switch things up, you can try plenty of different variations with this Keto Taco recipe.ย

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Instead of baking the cheese into taco shells, use lettuce or cabbage wraps.

  • For an alternative protein source, substitute grass-fed, organic ground beef with pork, chicken, fish, or shrimp.

  • Add guacamole or sliced avocado to your tacos to boost your healthy fat intake.

  • Substitute traditional sour cream with full-fat Greek yogurt for a tangy twist.

  • Make it vegetarian by stuffing cheese shells with seasoned roasted vegetables or tofu instead of ground beef.

  • To make a delicious taco salad, combine all the ingredients with Keto Tortilla Chips and toss in an olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing.

Storing and reheating tips

To maintain the freshness and taste of your tacos, refrigerate the shells and fillings separately in airtight containers for up to four days.ย

When youโ€™re ready to enjoy your tacos, simply reheat the cheese shells in the toaster oven until theyโ€™re warm and crispy. Avoid using the microwave, as it can make the shells chewy.

Warm up the grass-fed ground beef in a pan over medium heat, and then assemble your tacos with your favorite low-carb toppings.

Final thoughts

These Keto Tacos feature cheddar cheese shells and grass-fed ground beef filling, creating a delicious, low-carb alternative to traditional tacos.

Complement this dish with hearty, low-carb sides such as Keto Creamy Avocado Dip or Cuban Cauliflower Rice and Beans for a Mexican-inspired feast.
